1969 Halvorsen 32 Viking Special
Halvorsen 32 foot Viking Class V Bottom Cruiser built in 1969 named "Kekeni" it was built for the Sutton family, then in 1999 it was returned to Halvorsen Boats where it was refitted, refurbished with new systems and renamed "Lady Grace", the following years the family enjoyed and nurtured this lovey boat until it current owner fell in love and persuaded the owners to sell, once owned they give it a further refurbishment, with the Beashel Marine, in 2019 the hull was given a birthday that including striping the hull and decks repainting, with new covers this being completed in January 2021 by a shipwright and boat builder on the northern beaches of Sydney.
This was a Harvey Halvorsen designs and was a great success after the September 1964 release. boasting a double diagonal construction method offered great strength and the unusually fitted with Chrysler 220hp Diesel engines which provided economical and reliable performance with a cruise speed of 12 knots and in its day well in excess of 30 kn. Its believed to be one of the 24 built, this one with with a flying bridge, and one of three in the open cabin sports fishermen layout. Following the supply of two 26 foot boats to the New South Wales water police, the 32 foot Vikings became favoured police boats with five being delivered. With access via an opening sliding helm door improves and makes this boat a breeze to use, fitted with trim tabs, Eutectic fridges, large Ice bins.
